Description
As a Sourcing Manager for Logistics at Boliden you will manage parts of our purchases of transport services. You will also be involved in developing logistics solutions for our business units. Services we procure are for shipping of raw materials, metals and by-products via sea and port, within site, general transportations, rail and road. Your principal duties will be general cargo for parcel and courier as well as sea and container-based transports.
Key responsibilities:
Work with stakeholders to understand demands and organizational needs
Research potential suppliers, formulate requests for proposals (RFP), review and assess vendor information
Select and manage suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and best value for our purpose
Determine lead times, set up contracts, pricing and quantities
Close cooperation within our team, sales- and raw material purchase department and business units to support with logistic tasks and administration
Occasional travels to our sites in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Ireland.
Join our team, a handful of category and sourcing managers, reporting to Head of Logistics and part of the Procurement and Logistic department for Boliden Group. Depending on your preference, you may be placed at Mine Staffs in Boliden or at one of our smelters.
Qualifications
We believe that you collaborate well with others, are results oriented, analytical and logical. You are a skilled communicator with the ability to develop and maintain relationships. You are also a role model in ethical matters.
Requirements:
A degree in logistics or other relevant field
Experience in developing, negotiating and writing contracts for logistics solutions
Proficiency in English and Swedish, Finnish is an advantage
Driver’s license for a passenger car
