Basic function:
Provide strategic leadership to develop and implement global travel initiatives that reduce travel costs and improve service for the companies travelers. This position is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, documenting and managing enterprise agreements with major travel category vendors such as travel management companies, online booking tool, airlines, hotels, rental car companies and all travel functions. Closely monitors and communicates Travel & Entertainment Policy and process across the system with a global focus.
Group Indirect Sourcing is the procurement partner for this international organisation. Sourcing shall contribute to the bottom line by developing and implementing solutions that lead to value adding, efficient and cost reducing indirect procurement activities.
Based in Tumba, Sweden, the Sourcing Manager for Travel category will report directly to the Director of Indirect Sourcing.
Your responsibilities:
Travel Services;
- Provide vision, direction and continuous improvement to the DeLaval Global Travel Services to ensure DeLaval travel objectives are met
- Manage and oversee the selection and negotiations with travel vendors that support the corporate objectives of DeLaval
- Serve as liaison to vendors such as travel agency, online booking tool, airlines, etc.
- Develop knowledge of all applicable regulations & legal requirements in the corporate travel industry
- Assist in the roll out of a standard end-to-end travel process.
- Assess current processes, recommends future processes and helps implement changes for standardization of global travel processes.
- Duty of care – traveler safety & security management
Travel & Entertainment Policy;
- Partner with the Finance and HR department to support, develop, implement and monitor the Global Travel &Meeting Policy
- Oversee communication efforts to both suppliers and internal groups to ensure employees receive consistent information, including strategies that save money and time and changes or updates to travel processes and policy.
Reporting;
- Assist and participate in the development of relevant travel reports appropriate for enterprise functional heads and downline
- Measure & report compliance of business travel regulations and savings
- Data management, reporting & spend analyses
- Benchmark industry standards
- Monitor corporate card activities
Business Results and Vendor Management;
- Assist with relationship and monitoring performance of travel vendors
What we are looking for:
- BA or BS required, travel industry certificates desirable
- 5 -10 years of industry experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading a travel program with sourcing/procurement in travel industry.
- Working with and managing people/teams in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results to the organization.
- Demonstrated ability of end-to-end category management & change from a tactical fulfillment service provider to business partner status.
- Proven ability to manage global projects and supplier relationship management / issue resolution.
- Prior experience in managing culturally diverse international projects or global teams a strong plus.
