Sourcing Project Manager

ValueOne is recruiting a Sourcing Project Manager for our customer Getinge in Solna, north of Stockholm. The role

As Sourcing Project Manager you will lead development projects across categories such as electronics, mechanical, mechatronics, plastics, accessories and disposables. You will manage project sourcing and secure technology alignment between manufacturers and Getinge´s own product platforms. The role also means that you are expected to take initiative to develop the supply base within direct material and performance. Being in the MedTech industry it is important to ensure legal compliance in all processes.

The overall objective is to improve productivity, quality and efficiency in supply chain, securing material at right cost and in time, render judgements and make timely decisions in alignment with business objectives, strategies and tactics. This also involves encouraging active teamwork across the functions.

Main tasks:

Lead sourcing projects (transfer between suppliers).
Plan internal and external resources for timely delivery of project objectives.
Make inquiries and bid evaluations.
Execute on category strategies within product development projects.
Conduct supplier negotiations.
Engage in supplier collaboration of various magnitudes.
Be part in the category team.
Secure time to market promises for new and changed products as well as sharp cost awareness.
Understand the BOM and drawings in each product.
Be part of a team driving alignment in global sourcing processes and methods.
Supplier risk management and secure capacity in the supply chain.

Experience and competence

The ideal candidate for this position should have a university degree within supply chain, engineering or equivalent education and at least 5-10 years’ experience from project sourcing and transfers with a strong record. You are proficient in cost-analyses and quality value engineering and used to work in multiple projects. The role furthermore requires good knowledge and network in various categories (Manufacturers and Distributors) as well as fluency in English and Swedish, oral and writing. Experience from working within the MedTech business is meritorious. Good knowledge of the SAP system and MS Office is rewarding.

The role furthermore requires excellent leadership and analytical skills with a good understanding of the entire business value chain. To thrive in the role you need to be a team player with a prestige-less and hands-on personality and an enthusiastic approach. Additionally you are a person with a commercial mindset combined with technical knowledge who have no problem communicating with stakeholders internally and externally.
