IKEA Home smart was initiated as a project in 2012 with the ambition to enrich life at home by incorporating digital elements and technologies into products and solutions. Several launches within the smart home has followed since then and now IKEA has taken the strategic decision to invest even more in the home smart area by establishing IKEA Home smart as its own business unit within IKEA of Sweden.


By working together with all other departments within IKEA, the business unit of IKEA Home Smart will drive the digital transformation of the IKEA range, improving and transforming existing businesses and developing new businesses to bring more diverse smart products to the many people. About the job
In this role you will have the exciting role to be the sourcing and supplier responsible for some of the physical IKEA Home smart products. The role is located in Business Area Home smart.


As a Sourcing Specialist you will:
• Be responsible for sourcing activities and supplier relations for new physical product segments developed by IKEA Home smart, including identifying and developing new supply chains when necessary;
• Contribute to the identification of hardware components of IKEA Home smart products, in alignment with Category Home Electronics;
• Be responsible to create complete business cases for the assigned product segment, in alignment with category.
• Contribute to IKEA offer, sourcing assignments and PDPs;
• Initiate and propose cost down and cost out activities together with category;
• Responsible for Contract Reviews, PIA supply update, MIA and similar.


Qualifications
• Knowledge in sourcing and supply related areas and experience in working throughout all dimensions of the value chain (preferably IKEAs value chain);
• Experienced in product development and in the sourcing assignment;
• Experienced in Project Management, and as a person you are analytical, structured and methodical;
• A change driver, initiator and you able to take leadership on tasks, processes and people;
• Have both a detailed and holistic perspective and you initiate simplicity in your everyday work;
• Strong communicator, having the ability to engage and inspire by people across different functions and organizations;
• You are confident and clear expressing yourself in English since you will work with different stakeholders globally;
• Have a passion for people's everyday life at home, home furnishing and IKEAs range;
• Have a knowledge about the IKEA Concept description including our Vision and Business Idea, our Culture and Values, the Diamond and how we create our business advantage.

Strongly preferred competences and experiences:
• Experience from the industry/market of Internet of Things;
• Capability in developing products/solutions including software and electronics;
• Knowledge in digital solutions and digital interfaces for consumer products;
• Capability in agile development methods of products/solutions.
