Sourcing Specialist

For our client within the business of decisioning data and analytics Jefferson Wells is now looking for a Sourcins specialist.

This is a consultant assignment of initially 6 months, Jefferson Wells is now looking for a Digital Content Producer, who is available for immediate start. For the right person, there could be an opportunity for employment with the customer.

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Sourcing, Procurement and Vendor Management (GSP&V) team. The role will be based in our office in Stockholm, Sweden (with flexible home and office working arrangements offered).

You will primarily be involved in cross-geographical projects across the 21 European countries, collaborating with colleagues across the global GSP&V team to realize and leverage global suppliers/strategies wherever possible.

You will managing sourcing, tendering, negotiations, systems/process optimization and business support across a range of business units and spend categories, primarily: Real Estate and Facilities Management, Marketing, Product (Technology and Services), HR, Professional Services, and other areas as required. With this broad focus in mind, the role will suit an individual with sourcing/procurement experience in some/all of these areas and who is skilled in building relationships and influence across multiple teams whilst managing competing demands.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in effecting efficient sourcing processes to generate savings and maximize profitability;
* Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods and services at the best price by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their category/commodity industry;
* Develop and leverage strong stakeholder relationships to understand underlying business goals/objectives, acting as a trusted value-adding advisor in cross-functional teams;
* Create and lead sourcing and tendering activities (e.g. RFx, results analysis, negotiations and contract award) as well as supplier rationalization and benchmarking exercises;
* Support negotiation and authoring of contract terms which best protect our commercial, reputational and legal interests, partnering with other SME teams as needed;
* Drive compliance with the Global Sourcing Policy and associated governance policies and procedures across the business;
* Partner with Vendor Management colleagues to analyze supplier performance, track the market and realize opportunities for ongoing cost savings and service improvements;
* Assisting with spend goals for the supplier diversity program and ensuring relationship management, balance of trade and diversity.

Attributes and Profile

* Proven experience (minimum 5/6 years) in sourcing processes and thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies;
* Experience of drafting and analyzing/red-lining contracts;
* Strong negotiation, issue resolution, project management, communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills;
* Ability to build collaborative relationships and generate influence in cross-functional teams and at all levels of the organization;
* Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills;
* Cross-commodity experience is a must and familiarity with multi-national matrix organizations desirable. Any experience of buying data and/or data related services would be beneficial;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook;
* Organized self-starter, with excellent time management skills;
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred;
* Certification (or working towards) with a relevant professional body, e.g. CIPS, is a bonus;
