We seek a person with a business mind and passion for commercial purchasing in an international field of operations. As a member of our three-person sourcing team you will have an important role in ensuring that we use optimal sourcing channels and select the right suppliers for our Product Portfolio assortment.You will work in close contact with Product Managers.Your mission is to contribute to this assortment's market position and financial return by choosing suppliers based on price, quality and logistics.Key responsibilities: Cost control, quality assurance and logistics ability are the key words in business relations with suppliers.Your key responsibilities will be to choose suppliers and to take an active part in continuous supplier development according to DeLaval sourcing standards and concepts.You will negotiate and set up contracts with the external suppliers for whom you carry the business relationship responsibility.As Sourcing Specialist you will update and maintain supplier and product data in our business system SAP R/3.The position also involves analytical tasks such as assessing different suppliers and product data bases, prior to preparing and executing action plans based on your assessments.Professional experience: We seek a person who has an advanced degree in economics.You must have work experience from a relevant area in an international company, preferably from a position(s) within purchasing and/or business relations.As you will work in SAP R/3 and MS Software you must have good IT knowledge.You must be fluent in English.Additional languages such as German are valuable.You should be willing to travel. Personal characteristics: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact with people from a wide range of different companies and cultures.A good business mind, target orientation and strong negotiation skills are critical for this position.Choosing suppliers based on the right facts require a thorough, well-structured and disciplined approach, so good analytical and planning skills are needed.It is important for us that you are a team player.
