At the moment we are looking for person responsible for sourcing within electronics and PCB to join our Commercial Purchasing Team at our Operations department. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this role you will have the overall sourcing responsibility for electronic components used in Axis’ products. You will:

* Continuously decrease purchase prices on electronic components.
* Be involved early in product development in order to influence component choices as well as taking care of commercial discussions during the development phase.
* Establish closer cooperation with the PCB suppliers that our contract manufacturers are currently using and improve their performance.
* Work in close cooperation with our contract manufacturers, for instance by assisting them to achieve competitive component pricing and making sure Axis’ negotiated prices are implemented in their quotations.
* Keep track of the market trends within the electronics industry and act to minimize supply disturbances.

The position includes 10-30 days of travelling per year

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a well-structured and result oriented coworker with a hands on approach and a willingness to share knowledge and information. You are collaborative, always keeping an open and humble attitude in your interaction with colleagues and external stakeholders. Teamwork is crucial for Axis, so we believe it is important that you can contribute to a good team spirit promoting a stimulating work environment.

We also believe that you have:

* At least 6 years of experience from international purchasing/sourcing within the electronics field, of which at least 3 with strategic responsibilities.
* Strong knowledge of the electronics industry, the cost drivers in the market and general electronics component pricing.
* Knowledge of the PCB market and its cost drivers.
* Well established contact network with the larger electronic component distributors
* University or similar post-secondary education within Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering.
* Excellent skills in English, both orally and in writing.
* Experience from working in ERP systems.
* Proven negotiation skills.
* Experience from different business cultures, especially Asian.
* Knowledge of category management.
