Silversea cruises, world leader in luxury cruising operating four vessels on world wide itineraries is currently recruiting for the following positions:
Executive Sous Chef

This position contributes to the Company's Mission, values and strategic priorities by implementing the principles of Aggressive Hospitality in the following areas:
.ensure complete guest satisfaction by providing guests with the highest quality foods
.adhere to profitability goals
.Ensure SSC cuisine standards.
.maintain hygienic standards according to U.S.P.H
.Train and retain excellent crew.
In carrying out these responsibilities, the Executive Sous Chef undertakes duties in the four areas of the professional performance score card:

The corresponding duties in each of these performance areas are detailed below. These duties are undertaken within company policies, standards, and operating manuals, regulatory mandates.
1. Demonstrate genuine concern for guests well being at all times.
2. In charge of special orders.
3. Assist with galley tours, cooking demos, guest chef programs and functions.
4. Socialize with guests after service in restaurant.
5. Provide pro-active approach to solving guest's problems.
6. Supervise service hours (breakfast, lunch, dinner) announcing orders, checking plates, and expediting service.
7. Regularly monitors customer satisfaction and takes personal responsibility to ensure it
8. Follows through on customer inquiries, requests and complaints
9. Corrects problems promptly.
10. Induct, train, coach, and lead crew to consistently superior levels of performance.
11. Determine and communicate standards of performance to employees
12. Fully implements the Performance Interview system and complies with the certification process
13. Complies fully with company procedures for talent management including the policies for promotion and transfer
14. Strives to create and maintain a positive work environment
15. Models excellent leadership behavior
16. Fosters teamwork and partnering within all departments on board
17. Complete Silver Service CD-room training.

Utbildning/Erfarenhet
.European culinary background and
.7 years cooking experience of which 1-2 years Sous Chef experience in 5-star operation; hotel, restaurant, or ship.
.Knowledge of U.S.P.H. standards and procedures.
