The department Electrical systems integration & Electrical Development Process (EPD) is responsible for integration of the complete electrical system and Chassis systems in the vehicle programs at Volvo Car Group. We plan and track functional implementation and lead the integration activities to secure software releases into vehicle programs and into running production. The department runs program management and offers HIL, MIL and Boxcar rigs for the complete electrical system. The department has taken on the lead for the operational development (OD) projects for the EDP within Research & Development. The Electrical Development Process is a Group within the Department and is responsible for developing and maintaining the Processes, Methods, Tools and Information (PMTI) The group's deliveries will give the organisation the prerequisites to achieve the best possible quality and efficiency in our product development. Areas of interest are Hardware, Software, Functions, Systems, Test and Architecture.

As a Special Matter Expert of Test you are responsible for among other things to defining and maintain processes and methods for the area of expertise, Test. The role also demand that you have the ability to identify the needs and propose recommendations for tooling support based on the defined and decided processes. Do you have solid and well-proven experience from Test and urge to improve how we develop and test our future cars? Do you wish and like to be the person who takes the lead to do a real change and improve Electrical Development Process, Method, Tools and Information (PMTI). Then you might be the right person to take on the challenge as a Special Matter Expert, SME, of Test.

Main responsibilities

* References shall be best practices in Volvo Car Group, and benchmarking shall be done with world-class leading companies in this professional field as well as latest research
* Establishing and maintaining a network at Volvo Car Group, built on necessary contacts across other R&D units, as well as and including Business Partner Companies and Academia
* Contributing to the definition of local applications and the definition of extensions of the central processes of the involved organisations
* Act as a single point of contact/ lead represent the network
* Secure needed communication and knowledge sharing within the network
* Establish and govern a master plan with identified PMTI activities within the area of profession
* Execute according to agreed best practice
* Continuously identify and suggest improvements to the implemented PMTI
* Secure the availability of information and documentation for people that need it as a resource
* Provide escalation possibilities and establish and maintain external contacts
* Development of processes, methods and tools

Required qualifications

* M.Sc. or B.Sc. or several years of relevant experience
* Experience in Testing, Automatic testing, tracking KPI's and Reports
* Fluent in English, spoken and written
* Good knowledge of Teamcenter Requirements (TCr), Elektra, Autosar, Product Data structure, Meta models and stringent handling of interfaces is meritorious
* Experience From PMTI solutions for tests and good understanding of the requirements cascading and handling of requirements, from the functional and attribute defining level down to the system and node realisation level is meritorious
