Special Projects Mechanical Design Lead – Exteriors and Closures
Koenigsegg Automotive builds some of the fastest cars in the world, with almost all of our megacar technologies patented and made in-house. Within this brand, we have launched a stealth startup team to redefine the future of mobility. We are on a universe-denting mission, moving beyond exclusive low-volume models. WHAT YOU’LL DO
We need more exceptional, impactful, and authentic leaders to build our prototypes and grow our organization. Our ambitions and deadlines push the limits of what is physically possible. Lead and architect the vehicle exterior and closures system for high performance and low complexity
Develop highly functional glazing/glass systems that incorporate start-of-the-art materials and embedded technologies
Work with cross-functional teams across studio design, hardware & software engineering, and manufacturing teams to define the best overall architecture
Prototype, test, and refine proposed solutions that balance key metrics with clear data
Provide guidance and leadership on our use of internal and external partners.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
3+ years of experience specifying, designing, integrating, validating, and releasing exteriors and closures systems into high volume production
Experience with glazing/glass, sealing, and/or other class-A/functional/interactive surfaces a large plus.
Experience with simulating, testing, building, and continuously improving acoustical, thermal, optical and mechanical/structural performance of subsystems and final product
Experience writing system DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and/or other failure mode analysis formal methods for subsystems and final product
Experience authoring system level requirements and managing change control though a formal process
Experience writing, negotiation, and execution of supplier-partner development Scopes of Work
