Special Task Technician - Nordic

Vestas Northern & Central Europe is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, Finland, Celtic, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and the south part of Africa. We are responsible for the sales, installation and service of wind farms throughout these regions. The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farms within Scandinavia. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.
Right now, we’re expanding with more turbines in the Nordic countries and need to meet this need with 8 additional Special Task Technicians.

Responsibilities
Special Task is responsible for the latest technology and the new initiatives in service to build and share the competence within Service Nordic. We have in addition to our regular tasks in the Nordic countries also the responsibility to support our Special Task colleagues elsewhere in the region.
In this position you will be a part of our Nordic Special Task team. You will have an important role in delivering services and solutions that fulfills our customers’ expectations.
Your primarily tasks will be:
Work with replacement and reparations of main components
Secure that Vestas procedures and instructions are followed, especially in relation to safety rules and policies
Continuously give input and ideas to improvements on technical documentation, work instructions and certification processes
Perform special tasks (up tower repairs, main component replacements, etc.)

Qualifications
Qualified mechanical experience, such as working with cranes or changing main components
High level of safety awareness
Fluency in English, good communication skills in another Nordic language
Driving license

Motivated by teamwork and a positive mindset
Structured and independent, resourceful in order to solve issues even when no support is available
Flexible, as the position requires travelling and unplanned overtime may occur
Good physical condition and ability to handle heavy lifts and work on heights
High level of safety awareness

Additional information
The work area will be mainly in the Nordic countries, but there may also be work in other countries from time to time.
Start location: You may be based in Sweden, Norway, Finland or Denmark. Either you live close to one of Vestas warehouses or within convenient commuting distance from an airport.
Schedule: 7+7 (one week on, one week off). The total amount of travelling per year is estimated to around 100-150 days.
