Specialist in Surgical pathology

We search for a Specialist in Surgical pathology for the diagnostic team in endocrine-, head/neck, and lung pathology.

Key responsibilities
Diagnostics and developmental work in Surgical pathology, mainly in endocrine-, head/neck, and lung pathology. Duties include participation in multidisciplinary conferences as well as supervision and education of residents in Surgical pathology. Participation in ongoing research projects and teaching of students will also be a part of the position at the University hospital.

Qualifications
License to practice as a Specialist in Surgical pathology in Sweden, experience in endocrine-, head/neck-, and lung pathology is a merit, but we are also interested in doctors with a recent specialist degree in surgical pathology, who are interested to learn and pursue a career in these diagnostic areas. Academic qualification is an advantage for the position.

The job requires an ability to interact with other employees at the department, but also with employees at other departments in the hospital, for instance during the multidisciplinary conferences. Teamwork and humility are therefore valuable personal characteristics for the task.

An expert board will evaluate your skills and merits for a specialist position or as Senior consultant.
