Specialist Occupational Health and Safety

Your role

You are the company's contact for Occupational Health and Safety and have the main responsibility to drive these issues. As a specialist you have both a strategic and supporting role where you are the driving person, and have your own responsibilities att the same time part of a team where we work together for best result.

Follow up, analyse and assess trends in the market and changes in the Swedish legislation related to occupational health and safety.
*

Keep managers and other relevant employees updated about new regulations / obligation, new work-instructions etc. Train the organisation regarding Saab obligatory Health & Safety
*

Act as a point of contact to company health care. Propose and follow up the budget for health and Safety within Kockums.
*

Coordinate the occupational health and safety committees.
*

Participate in audits and risk- and consequence analyses and advise on health and safety issues. Prepare and coordinate Management Review meetings regarding Health & Safety
*

Report accidents and work related illness to the relevant Swedish authorities. Keep records updated and create statistics on accidents, near misses and work related illness. Act as a point of contact to Arbetsmiljöverket at inspections in Kockums
*

Together with Environment conduct chemical risk assessment
*

Proactively participate in projects from a health & safety perspective regarding new methods, work places etc.
*

Actively support and drive the ongoing process with ISO 45001
*

Actively participate within Occupational Health and Safety work within Saab group



Your profile

We are looking for you who have thorough experience of working within OHS and feel motivated to drive these questions in a big international company with a production in change. We are positive if you are qualified educated and has deep knowledge about Swedish laws and regulations within OHS.



Required skills:

*

Health & Safety engineer or equivalent
*

A couple of years of relevant experience
*

Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, verbal and written
*

Experience of chemical risk assessments



Desired skills:

*

Experience working in a large company group is a merit
*

Experience from heavy industry is a merit



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.



What you will be a part of

You will be part of a small and effective HR Team in Kockums where you will have lot of collaboration with your HR colleagues both in the company and within the company group. You will have daily contact with managers as well as safety representatives.
