Folktandvården Västra Götaland is a part of Västra Götalands region and is one of the worlds biggest Dental Health Care organisations.

We provide dental health care for children and adults, with an emphasis on prophylaxis. We provide General Dental health care as well as Specialist Dental health care within all the Dental specialities including Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. We are involved in the education of dental personnel and even actively involved in clinical research.

Description
We are seeking a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a good capability to work together with colleagues, patients and their families.

Folktandvården Västra Götaland has a close cooperation with the Institution for Odontology/Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and is involved in clinical research projects spanning the entire region. Research conducted at the Institution is of the highest international standards. We are also involved in the education of undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the faculty of Dentistry, University of Gothenburg in collaboration with Sahlgrenska Academy covers the entire treatment panorama within this speciality, from Craniofacial, Cancer, Trauma to Dentoalveolar surgery. The department is involved in several research projects with a focus on Craniofacial and Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery. It is also involved in the training/education of postgraduate sutudents in Oral and maxillofacial surgery and even undergraduate dental students.  The department has a very close cooperation with all the other dental specialities and even certain medical specialities. The department has a 24 hour, 7 days a week emergency service.

Currently, a total of 39 persons work at the clinic.

Work description
You will be a part of the Tumour and Reconstruction team and even other parts
within the speciality. You will also be involved in the 24/7 emergency service and in the training of residents at the department.

Qualifications
Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with experience in Tumour and Reconstructive surgery. A medical degree and experience in teaching are of merit.
Good communication skills and ability to cooperate well with colleagues.
