Pulp Competence Centre is an expert unit of Stora Enso that supports the chemical pulp mills with services including R&D, operational improvement and technical support. Our vision is to have leading edge competence in adding value to our fibre supply chain and pulp making. The R&D team works both in short-term process and product improvement area and in the development of future products and processes. Today Pulp Competence Centre has 25 full-time employees and we are based in Karlstad, Sweden and Imatra, Finland.
Key Performance
We are looking for a Fiberline or Recovery Area Specialist to Pulp Competence Centre Improvements Team.
Your main task will be to lead and support development & process optimizing work performed together with our pulp mills, either in the fiberline area alternatively in the recovery area. You will also support our pulp mills with technical knowhow in your field of expertise.
Your Profile
You have a University level education in pulping, chemical engineering, chemistry or similar area.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience from a pulp mill or machinery supplier in fiberline or recovery area is necessary. Except from this you have excellent knowledge and experience from process optimizing, trouble shooting and/or process control work.
As a person you are result-oriented, systematic, analytic and willing to take initiatives. You are strong in identifying new applicable solutions and have the ability to drive implementation of new R&D findings at the mills.
It is important that you like to work in teams and enjoy working in multicultural environment. Very good English skills, fluent in both spoken and written are necessary.
Additional items seen as advantage for the position:
Swedish, Finnish, Portuguese or Spanish knowledge.
Process control interest and skills.
Previous work experience with eucalyptus as raw material.
Six Sigma project experience.
