We are currently looking for a Specific Application Design Engineer in Stockholm.
Your mission:
The main purpose of this position is to fit our generic ETCS Onboard Automatic Train Protection System (ATP) into a specific vehicle (train) type.
This role covers the overall integration process of our generic products, from site visits (mainly in Scandinavia), electrical design, electrical schematics creation, write installation/de-installations manuals, to analysis and tracing of requirements.
Since this is an integration of a safety critical system, the scope of work also include interfacing with safety team, as well as documenting evidences of compliance towards the internal integration process, as well as towards generic system guidelines and constraints.
It is easy to learn within the team since we have an open discussions climate. The team consists of people with both wide and deep experience willing to share their knowledge.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting field surveys for vehicle design inspection.
Interpreting, generating, tracing and fulfilling requirements.
Producing electrical schematics/drawings.
Defining necessary COST to integrate the generic system and produce components part lists.
Producing installation instructions/checklists.
Meetings/co-operations/support with external customers/manufacturers/installers and authorities.
Writing test cases/scenarios for both standstill testing and operational testing.
Supporting on-site testing.
Producing documents for safety cases and release info about the onboard system integration.
Producing the deviation report based on deviations from the Technical Specification.
Participating in bid estimation work for new potential contracts.
Planning, committing, executing and reporting your own activities.
Your experience and required competencies:
Bachelor’s degree or more in electrical engineering.
5 years or more experience in similar adaptation/integration of complex system.
Fluent English is mandatory and Swedish is highly desirable.
MS Office knowledge is mandatory, including VISIO.
Experience in schematic drawing programs (e.g. AutoCAD)
Knowledge of DOORS and Rational Synergy are considered added values.
Experience in ERTMS, other safety-critical systems and/or rolling stock systems (especially the ones that interface with trainborne ATP, like brakes, traction) is highly valued.
Ability to lead a team of engineers is desirable.
Open minded, easily adaptable, positive attitude towards new challenges.
Analytical and meticulous/accurate.
Self-motivated to find solutions or answers for your tasks.
Able to work in a team, while taking responsibility for your actions/decisions
Result-oriented with a positive mind.
