Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. The project is well on its way to starting the establishment and it is high time to start setting up the local organisation. We are now looking for SPS Manager for Cab Production to lead the Cab SPS office and support our management team and implement SPS and the Scania Way! This is a unique possibility to work in a diverse, global, and cross-functional context where your personal experience and your perspective will contribute to Scania’s success in China. 

Your assignment
The Cab Production local SPS office team is today a group of two SPS coordinators that under your guidance will grow to be able to fully support the SPS implementation in the complete Cab Production plant. The team has an entrepreneurial spirit and a high focus on deliveries. As SPS Manager you will have the responsibility to develop and operate Scania's production system (SPS) and you will create, develop, and spread tools and methods within the organisation. Your main tasks will be to support the project team and the local organization in SPS development, SPS support, and SPS network, and educate leaders within SPS. You will have a key role in how well we will manage to transfer the company's culture and values ​​within LEAN.

Your main responsibilities will span a wide range of areas.
Examples of main activities among others will be:


• transfer and implement Scanias Production System (SPS) together with the local organisation in China.
• interface between our local SPS function within Cab and the Rugao site central SPS office as well as the Global SPS office.
• support the managers in the project and work closely together with the part-project teams, the core team, and other work streams.
• participate in many cross-functional projects within Cab and with other departments in the Industrial Operations Asia system.
• secure and transfer knowledge from our present operations to the future China production hub and local colleagues.

Your profile
To be comfortable in this role you need to have mentoring skills, be structured, and have the ability to work independently but be well-coordinated with others. You appreciate and are eager in breaking down and concretizing project descriptions into reality. Creating energy and a constructive and safe environment comes naturally to you. You see leadership as exciting and see yourself as a person who wants to influence and change, is unpretentious, and can work with all types of assignments.

You have an enthusiastic and confident authority with integrity, and good social skills and you take responsibility. You need to be able to see the big picture and also dig into the details. You speak and write fluent English and have a University degree in engineering or similar as a base.

We think you have a good overall understanding of processes and understanding the ways of working within Scania in general and Cab Production in particular. Good analytical skills and competence in both strategic and operational issues are preferred. You can analyze the organisation’s overall needs and on that basis implement the necessary changes.

Your location
The Cab Production project team (TCH) is based in Oskarshamn. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect competencies needed and deliveries in the project during the different phases. Business trips abroad and periods in China need to be considered.
