Our mission
As manager for SQ&D Vehicle Metal team, you drive and manage performance of your
Department and the people around you. Your primary mission is to engage, inspire and motivate others to drive forward and create a positive and warm environment where both the business and the individuals thrive.


You will be a member of the SQ&D Vehicle management team and are responsible for driving improvements for the full SQ&D Vehicle team through active teamwork. You are also part of the Vehicle Metal management team on the commercial side to secure full purchasing alignment.


Other Main Responsibilities:
Ensure support is provided on all manufacturing and customers quality issues related to purchased parts in the Metal scope
In collaboration with peer managers, allocate responsibilities between the Supplier Quality Engineers globally to gain responsiveness and efficiency
Be the representative of the ”customer voice” inside the Supplier Quality & Development organization and act as representative of the Supplier Quality in the different Volvo Group forums
Communicate on SQ&D achievements and challenges
Interface with our suppliers all through the strategic and sourcing phase to the phase out
In case of urgent issue, assign crisis leader and actively support crisis management, recalls and campaigns
Actively support process harmonization and best practice sharing within Volvo
Responsible for operating expenses
