As SQ/HSE Engineer you are responsible of Kongsberg Automotive Quality Management system ensuring compliance with all ISO9001 and IATF16949 regulations. Taking a lead role in corrective actions related to both supplier concerns, the Quality Engineer is a team player in cross-functional teams in the 8D process, including root cause analysis such as 5-Why's, Fishbone, and deploying other analytical tools. The role is also responsible of carrying out the day-to-day operations of HSE department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the SQ/HSE Engineer works with other members of the Quality team, as well as with Manufacturing Engineering, Production and other functional areas within the plant to meet all standards, assuring that Kongsberg Automotive is delivering to the expectations of its internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
In this position you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Defining quality requirements for the product and process
· Searching, validating and implementing new inspection methods and technologies together with potential suppliers
· Development of Inspection Plans, Inspection Instructions, Containment Instructions
· Performing stability, repeatability and reproducibility analyzes for measurement systems
· Receiving inspection according to instructions; measurement verification
· Calibration of tools and fixtures
· 8D initiations to suppliers
· Conducting HSE audits, inspections and evaluations to detect existing or potential accident and hazards and to determine preventative measures. Providing support to manufacturing facility for investigations, developing improvements, corrective action plans and follow-up initiatives
· Serving as the facility technical program and trainer for HSE disciplines to coach employees in work-safety practice
· Environmental reporting for internal as well as external purposes
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering/manufacturing or years of work experience in relevant position/field
· A few years of relevant work experience in manufacturing environment
· Quality management systems knowledge, e.g., ISO 9001, 140001, 180001, IATF 16949
· Familiar with 8D, FMEA, PPAP and problem-solving methodology
· Have a thorough understanding of Swedish health and safety regulations
· Be familiar with waste handling requirements, hazard communication standards, risk identification and mitigation
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills, you are self-organized, structured and able to prioritize and keep focused
· Be a motivated self-starter that promotes teamwork and collaboration in a cross-functional environment
· Driving license
· SAP experience is preferred
· Excellent English and Swedish written and oral skills
