SQL Server Specialist to Nordea

Accounting & Group Reporting IT Solutions is part of Nordea IT Group Functions. The main purpose for A&GR IT Solutions is to support Business partners & projects and secure a stable production environment. Cooperation across the value chain is a must to deliver high quality to for our partners.

The A&GR IT Solutions is responsible for development and improvements in the General Ledger area. We are now looking for a Business oriented MS SQL Server Specialist who can take on the application management responsibility for our Master Data application. In this role you will be main responsible for understanding and translating business needs into IT/development requirements and to deliver sustainable, conceptual and cost efficient solutions.

The Master Data application in Nordea is built on a MS SQL platform and uses WebLogic for publication and MS Access as user interface when updating data.

Our unit work closely toward our outsourcing partner situated in Mumbai India which is responsible for implementing the solutions and monitoring the production. In this position it is your responsibility to drive and coordinate all technical solutions within the area. You should be able to verify the coding the outsourcing partner has done to secure that we are compliant and are creating sustainable solutions.

You will be the single point of contact towards business regarding our Financial Master Data solution and you will work close to different stakeholders.

Experience and background
In order to be successful you should have deep SQL / MS SQL Server experience and general knowledge about Master Data as a concept. Some competence regarding WebLogic/Java and MS Access is required.

We expect you hold a M.Sc. in computer science, information technology or a similar degree and have a strong IT background.

Written and spoken English on professional level is expected. Swedish is a plus.

Personal qualifications
As a person you are extrovert and a good communicator both written and verbally which makes you great at handling stakeholders from different parts of the organization. You are curious and have a strong drive for learning and developing in the area of responsibility as well as trying to understand the needs of stakeholders.

You have experience working in an agile environment and you can describe and document, in dialogue with stakeholders, both functional and non-functional requirements with sufficient quality and coverage, to ensure stable and robust IT deliveries and solutions in Production.
