The ART Side & Roof is one of the development ART’s within Solution Vehicle Platform. We develop Door & Greenhouse systems to be functional and user oriented with a high level of craftmanship. Out tasks are to provide functional and convenient vehicle access, secure a quiet and water tight user experience and contribute to a light and roomy interior and secure good visibility. With quality & safety in focus we create attractive and sustainable systems. 

The ART Side & Roof consists of 135 team members that cover both Hardware development and Software development.
The ART is divided in 5 Engineering Groups and each group is divided in 2 to 3 Agile teams

Who are we
The group Closure Mechatronics consist of 3 Agile teams divided in following setup. Side door mechatronics Team, Door Module Team and Rear End Mechatronics & Module team.
Our mainly deliveries is, defining new system solutions / specifications in close collaboration and in a Cross functional work. Each team area responsible for a common Backlog that cover all deliveries such as early AE-work to New vehicle Program development or Quality matters in running production. You will be a part of Door module team (Carrier plate , Window regulator, Minilach modul, Door module).

What you will do
Your main responsibilities:  
•    Secure project deliverables according to Volvo Product Development System / Volvo Cars agile framework
•    Create  technical concept / system development of our part / area / System / Functions
•    Be responsible for own part / area / Systems including functions fulfillment in regards to CAD geometries
•    Be active in develop / maintain Design guidelines for specific Team with relevant input.
•    Be active to share knowledge between programs with similar content
•    Contact with design, other R&D members and manufacturing to agree of required progress
•    Be responsible to ensure that the technical documentation is available at the right level and at the right time
•    Act proactively in early verification that concept / system will fit for its purpose.
•    Secure a cross functional delivery to vehicle program
•    Be responsible for that target are meet and the intension of concept / systems setup is fulfilling both ART Architect setups as well as Integration architect setups

Who you are 
We believe you have a minimum B.Sc. grade within mechanics or similar education. You have proven experience from Catia V5, TCe and CAD setups from vehicle level to part level. Overall you have a very good knowledge of Mechanical systems and mechatronics - of engineering in advance integrated mechatronic systems including function ownership and of the complete vehicle integration. You have experience working in a cross functional way and have knowledge of how suppliers are working in early phases. Your are skilled with working and sorting big amount of data to find patterns in quality related issues.

As a person you are eager to learn, lead and appreciate taking on new challenges. Since you are a problem-solver you find it exiting to work in an environment that develops, changes and offers complexity. You approach the task with a positive attitude and enjoy using your social skills. You are a good collaborator and communicator. 

•    Fluent in English (written and spoken)
•    Driver license level B

Preferred: knowledge in working with legal demands and understanding of technical impact for certain area.
