We are looking for a Senior Manager, Alliance Management for our Innovation business unit. You will be working in the Biomaterials Division and you will report to the VP of Emerging Business & Alliance Management. Location: Stockholm.

As Senior Manager for Alliance Management, your purpose will be to enable strategic growth through successfully establishing alliances and partnerships according to the division’s business needs. Additionally, proactively identify new partnership and M&A targets and whenever required, lead processes and cross-functional teams to successfully close major transactions.
The Role
Your main responsibilities will be to:
• Lead a portfolio of projects to establish alliances, collaborative and equity-based partnerships to support the business needs of existing and new platforms within Biomaterials Division
• Prepare valuation models following core valuation techniques and perform in-depth analyses of value creation with focus on long-term growth, ROIC and cash flows; develop joint strategic maps that capture the partnership goals
• Lead, plan, and support all the due diligence activities across all functional areas such as financial, commercial, operations, tax, sustainability and R&D
• Propose deal structures, lead negotiations and manage transaction agreements
• Lead, plan and support as applicable post-close integration activities
• If the alliance or partnership requires changes, lead negotiations to achieve the necessary contractual amendments
• Provide a one-stop shop to the organization on every collaboration by tracking performance and ensuring key deal terms and obligations are fulfilled
• Identify new M&A targets fitting Biomaterials Division strategic needs
• Support and when needed lead M&A cases relevant to Biomaterials new businesses
• Prepare reports and make presentations to steering committees for informed decision-making
• Raise awareness internally regarding the value-creation potential of alliances and partnerships and mentor the organization on how to collaborate effectively; contribute to positioning the company as the best company to partner with.

Qualifications
In order to succeed in this role, you have relevant university education, i.e. an academic degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or any other relevant field. MBA is a strong plus. You combine that with 7 to 10 years of leading Alliance management, M&A projects or similar. Your business English is excellent.
You are highly skilled at analysing and forecasting performance of companies in different industries and have strong experience-based knowledge in core valuation models, such as enterprise discounted cash flow, discounted economic profit, forward-looking multiples and others. You also have deep understanding of how value is created and managed at stand-alone business level and industry level, and a proven track record in closing complex, cross-sector/cross-industry new technology, new product driven deals. In addition, you have experience in dealing with large international accounts, and are a skilled negotiator with a win-win mindset and strong execution drive.
As a person, you are entrepreneurial and solution-oriented, with a passion for creating new economic value through partnerships with purpose. You are capable of forming strong, lasting, and meaningful relationships with partners.
