Koenigsegg continue to grow and we are now looking for a Senior Manager for our Prototype and Test team.
The Role
As our Prototypes and Testing Manager you will be responsible to deliver Prototype cars and test results according to the Product Cycle Plan on time and at cost with high quality. You will lead an organisatition with 30 skilled design engineers and technicians, organised in three different teams.
As a manager you will be expected to:
- Lead the Prototype and Testing department in:
- Manufacture and build of concept cars
- Build and Assembly of pre-series vehicles for Build validation, Testing, Homologation, Quality control, Marketing and Assembly instructions for Production/Aftermarket.
- Test and Validation in complete vehicles and rigs as Engine test cell, Rolling test cell, Test rigs for Cooling, Gearbox, E-Motors etc.
- Oversee and manage the work, coach the team to deliver in time with quality
- Collaborate with involved parties to ensure cross functionally optimized operation of prototype vehicle build and testing
- Work closely with peers to ensure coordinated prioritization and synchronized delivery of top-quality product on time and on budget
- Develop the organization, secure prerequisites, optimize utilization, recruit, and retain employees
- Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees
- Ensure implementation of methods and processes for higher quality and efficiency, secure best practice, and standardization
- Champion first principal policies and thinking and help infuse this throughout the organization
- Manage budget
Qualifications
- Significant Engineering background and experience in Automotive or Aerospace.
- Strong leadership experience
- MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Extensive communication skills, verbal, written and presentations, with employees, peers, and executive management
- Hands on experience from testing/simulation, vehicle builds and with cars.
- Able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
- Able to successfully manage multiple tasks, changing priorities and changing resources with a professional and creative approach.
- Structured way of working with a flexible mindset in a dynamic environment
- Team player who understands when do self-attitude is the most efficient approach
