Sr Principal Engineer Electronics HW Development
Work Assignment:
Have the leading role in developing our inhouse electronics hardware design organisation, starting with developing the technical framework, toolset and facilities.
You will lead and control how we will implement Inhouse HW design that we normally Buy from a supplier.
This is an opportunity to build something up from the beginning.
Some of the design areas are Schematics, Layout, PCB, Choose components, EMC/ESD design rules, Automotive standards, etc.
• Test labs needed with equipment.
• Supplier collaboration and contract framework
• Rasics both internal and for suppliers
• interfaces towards SW and its prerequisites
• Interfaces for attribute requirements
• production requirement and framework
• Housing and thermal performance performance
• Enviromental framework, vibration etc.
• Sustainable materials and components
Be part of defining the HW architecture. Develop HW structure, diagnostics and other relevant HW levels to concerned components and systems.
You will be responsible for leading the teams that collect, break down and implementation of function, base tech and other relevant requirements as well as technical documentation in cooperation with the selected suppliers and internal customers, as well as ensure that Analysis and Verification requirements are created, monitored and implemented together with your teams.
Performing and ensuring that Quality assurance tools are used for the assignment is also one of the important tasks you will have to take on.
Depending on work split with supplier, Platform, Time, and product different level of Design and control will be required.
The work stretches from concept and architectural work to quality and maintenance of the product
You will manage and Perform Design Reviews for the assignment, handle Change management and support purchasing in supplier evaluation and selection for included parts
Do you fit the profile
You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree or above in Data engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or other relevant technical area.
Long Practical experience needed in the different design areas above with good skills in leading others to common goals.
You are fluent in English, written and spoken, and you are used to work in a global environment. Clear communication and transparency must come naturally to you, as well as team spirit and strong collaboration within the team and with different stakeholders.
If you have been working previously in agile set-up this would be beneficial for us.
