Looking to work in close cooperation with our customers and the end-users of steel? As a Business Development Manager (BDM) to the areas MEI (Middle East, Turkey & India) and WEA (West Europe & Africa) you are part of the global Hardox® Wearparts management team taking the network to the next level by bringing value to SSAB, our customers and the end-users of steel. You are also part of both MEI’s and WEA’s sales management teams and report with a dotted line to the Sales Directors. In close collaboration with Sales you support the growth and development of the centers’ business and recruit new centers to the network. Placement is preferable Oxelösund, but other options can be discussed.
About the position
Through the 540+ Hardox® Wearparts centers SSAB offers value-added services to end-users locally around the world. With growth and development of the centers’ business in focus, SSAB supports with joint end-user visits, technical trainings, marketing, upgrading projects and much more.
Together with the Sales Directors, you break down the global Hardox® Wearparts strategy to regional strategies and tactics. You are responsible to lead, implement, coach, support and follow-up on Hardox® Wearparts activities. The Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) are mainly responsible for the centers, but you are highly involved. You will visit centers and end-users together with the RSMs and Technical Development Managers, conduct trainings, host network meetings and much more during up to 100 travel days per year. As a BDM you have a broad responsibility, ranging from strategy and development of the Hardox® Wearparts concept to very hands-on operational activities in your markets. Be prepared to get your boots dirty.
Your qualifications
Valued personal characteristics include steel product and applications knowledge, competence about the aftermarket and end users of steel, ability to work in differents cultures and excellent social skills. You have a relevant academic engineering degree, experience within market development and/or sales with a proven track record of delivering results and you are comfortable to lead and coach others. As a person you are driven, structured, practical and have a strong interest in developing customers. Advanced English is a requirement and other relevant languages, especially French, are highly valued.
