As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for creating, developing and implementing commodity strategies centrally and/or locally according to the strategic procurement process. Location is according to agreement. Rahee, Hämeenlinna, Helsinki, Stockholm, Borlänge, Luleå or Oxelösund.
Job description
The Production Related & Indirect category is divided into fifteen commodities and you will be responsible Commodity Manager/Strategic Purchaser for 1-3 commodities.
As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for creating, developing and implementing commodity strategies centrally and/or locally according to the strategic procurement process. Therefore this role requires a person that can work and plan the job independently, and has good skills in analyzing data to be able to take good decisions in right directions. Since it is highly important to be able to establish and manage relations with internal costumers and other stakeholders in order to be able to manage and lead cross-functional teams, it will be important that you have good communication skills and strong leadership skills.
The role is much connected to work proactively in developing the commodities. Since you will work in high performing organization that is result-driven, you need to be motivated by these kind of result-targets and be able to independently plan your work, and to prioritize your tasks, with support from your manager and to also cope and handle a high workload.
The key tasks of the role are:
· Analyze, develop/improve the commodities together with the commodity teams
· Lead and develop cross-functional teamwork with operational purchasing, internal customers and other stakeholders
· Develop commodity strategies; lead and implement sourcing activities/initiatives, development projects and supplier relationship management (SRM). Create financially healthy agreements so that internal customer gets the right products or services in the right place at the right time, at optimal cost (TCO-perspective)
· Follow-up and report progress and outcome of projects/activities, and monitor supplier performance
Frequently traveling is a natural part of the role.
Your qualifications
· Master's or Bachelor’s degree in economics, technology, logistics, or law. Alternatively, you may have gained similar qualifications and experience in some other way within these competence areas.
· Experience of strategic procurement, leadership, marketing, project management, Lean and/or SRM is an advantage
· Excellent written and spoken English
· Good user knowledge in Microsoft Office (excel, word, Power point)
· Ariba, IFS knowledge is also considered an advantage
