SSAB - Internal Control Manager

About the position
In the role as an Internal Control Manager, you will be part of a team, with focus to develop the Internal Control Framework and an effective internal controls process within SSAB Group. You will support the business to develop and enhance Risk & Control Matrices, design controls and mitigate risks.
As Internal Control Manager, you will be a part of Group Internal Control (GIC), a Group function within Finance that coordinates and provides knowledge and support to other Group functions, divisions and legal entities throughout SSAB. The objective of GIC is to enable and facilitate that relevant controls are documented and monitored to ensure effective processes and procedures, quality of reporting and compliance with laws & regulations.
Your primary job assignment will be to:
Assist the business and process owners to map processes and evaluate risks, to ensure that key risks have adequate controls
Design and implement controls
Support Process owners and Control owners to ensure timely and appropriate updates and signoffs of controls
Facilitate Self Assessments and support analysis
Provide the organization and managers with material and trainings to build knowledge of risks and the need of efficient controls
Assist with reporting and follow-up, including status of unresolved control deficiencies from the internal controls assessment process, internal or external audits
Responsibility for setup and functionality of our company wide GRC system
Be a link to the external auditors in Internal Control matters

Requirements
In this role, you will interact with people across the SSAB Group, therefore being interested in people, building relationships, being responsive, and wanting to help are important attributes. Other important attributes and competences are:
University degree in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent
5-10 years’ experience from audit and line function within finance or experience as internal control manager with solid knowledge of the COSO framework
Service minded
Independent, self-driven personality with high integrity
Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral
Both analytical skills, and a high level of attention to details
Experience from international public companies is a plus
