Group IT Operations mission is to transform and modernize IT-infrastructure Operations & Service Desk at SSAB by moving a from teams delivering local solutions to a global service organization providing shared IT-infrastructure services for the whole company
The Network Connectivity team provides several fundamental services in IT-infrastructure Operations critical for SSAB's daily operations.
Manager’s primary role emphasis is on people, processes, and performance management over technical skills. The Manager for the Network Connectivity team is responsible for service and organizational development, career development / skills training, advancement / succession planning and performance management (Organizational / Individual Goals and Objectives Attainment).
In more details:
IT Operations
•Provide oversight for ongoing operations of network connectivity services. Ensure accountability to stakeholders and colleagues in the management team.
•Ensure procedures are in place and followed for change management, configuration management, and incident management.
•Develop and maintain service metrics to measure quality of service delivery and identify areas for improvement.
IT Operations Organizational Development
•Review the organization structure, identify deficiencies, and recommend / implement structural changes to improve organizational effectiveness.
•Evaluate team skills, Develop training plans for all team members to support career development.
•Review / modify succession plans to support career advancement for all team members.
•Identify organizational gaps and develop staffing plans to recruit qualified professionals to strengthen the organization.
•Administer performance management for the Network Connectivity organization. Develop annual goals for all members of the organization, aligned with the goals for the business. Establish personal goals and objectives tied to organization goals. Document actual performance and conduct formal performance reviews with all members of the organization.
•Develop annual salary plans and work with HR to manage / administer effective compensation levels for all members of the local IT Operations organization.
IT Operations-related Supplier Management
•Establish / maintain supplier relationships for Network Connectivity service portfolio. Implement and manage supplier contracts and relationships. Conduct routine evaluations for supplier performance.
Your qualifications
We are looking for an experienced and proven leader with an understanding of what it takes to lead a technical business. You most likely have a bachelor and/or master degree within relevant technical area or experience we consider as equal. Furthermore, we expect you to have well developed and proven skills in change leadership, an understanding for business and a positive spirit. We expect you to act as a role model for others to follow, with the ability to inspire and to make people grow.
