In order to continue the growth of the Special Steels Division, we are looking for a Business Development Manager within Kits & Solutions, a part of SSAB Services working with new kit and component solutions. SSAB Services is a business unit within SSAB with focus on downstream activities, e.g. parts processing of SSAB steels for our customers. In this position, you will have a key role to develop a new solution offer in a role combining business development with a clear commercial offering. Preferred location is in Sweden.
This is a new position with focus on the development of a new solution offer towards the process industry. The role will cover areas such as creating and evaluating business models, develop the go to market model and product offer as well as identifying new business opportunities. You will also lead the analysis of the full business case containing market analysis, investment calculations and supply chain, i.e. this is a broad role with large variety of tasks.
In this position, you will be responsible for the business related tasks but also together with the rest of the team look at cost structures, pricing, production and evaluate potential partners. You will collaborate closely with the Technical product manager who will handle most of the technical questions but technical interest and skills are highly valued. There will be a need for travelling in this role and an estimation is 30-50 days per year.
You will report to the Head of Kits and Solutions and be part of a diverse team where individual expertise complement each other. We know that no one can master everything so we work together as a team, share knowledge and support each other. This is not a managerial position.
Your qualifications
To be successful we believe that you have a University degree in Engineering/Business administration or equivalent and a few year of relevant working experience. You need to have commercial experience and knowledge within steel fabrication is an advantage.
As a person, you need to be analytical, strategic and market oriented. You are able to act and work independently and at the same time be a good team player. Excellent communication skills is key in this role. You are fluent in English.
