NOW we are looking for a Product Manager within High Productivity Equipment, as a part of SSAB Services working with mining tipper bodies. SSAB Services is a business unit within SSAB SPECIAL STEELS with focus on downstream activities, e.g. parts processing of SSAB steels AND UNIQUE DESIGNS for our customers.
High Productivity Equipment is a business area with the focus of introducing new type of equipment that is challenging the conventional and takes full advantage of SSAB strategic products directly to end users within mining & transportation industry.
Once market has been convinced with the value of these products and end user demand is created, the aim is to facilitate the demand by supporting SSAB customer network to provide this equipment to market in larger scale.
Now we are looking for innovative Product Manager to our team to drive forward the development of our off road tipper product portfolio for mining segment. You will be an integral part of the team and contributing and implementing this new business model with world-class equipment. Preferred location is Sweden or India.
Product manager will be responsible of managing the Product portfolio, driving the new development projects and product launches. You will be also controlling the design revisions and continuous upgrading to secure unique customer value as well as to establish product criteria's and supports manufacturing units to meet these criteria's.
Together with Business area manager, you will be implementing the business plan for product category and developing the commercial support package together with marketing team.
Your qualifications
To be successful we believe that you have a university degree in engineering or equivalent and several years of relevant working experience.
We would expect you to have at least 5 years’ experience of working with technical development in international environment, developing products or applications with customers and you are familiar with mining and transportation industry. You have experience to structure technical documentation and product support packages and you are familiar with product claims and warranty handling.
You have a curious mind and strong technical skills paired with structured way of working. As a person, you have good social skills and you have, through the years, learned to work and influence in matrix organization and drive successful development projects. You are positive and interested in new ideas - and making them happen. You are fluent in English and enjoy working in an international environment where global contacts are part of the everyday work. Position requires ability to travel.
