In order to continue the growth of our Special Steels Division, we are looking for a Product Manager. In this position, you will have a key role to further develop our distribution offer. Placement Finland or Sweden.
About the position
SSAB Special Steels is looking for a Product Manager for our brand, Raex.
As a Product Manager, you support the development of the product offer for Raex and secure it is in line with our strategic targets. Raex is our distributor brand and it is supplied in both strip and plate format. A quite firm strategy has been set up in order to manage a dual brand strategy on the market to leave room for two wear brands, Hardox as well as Raex.
As the product manager, you are the link between sales, marketing, process- and product development, which means that you will work closely with several departments.
Today the vast majority of Raex is produced in Raahe, Finland, and you have to be prepared to visit this operation frequently. However, when growing sales new sites will be evaluated to make sure costs and delivery times meet expectations. Preferred location for the position is at one of our main offices in the Nordics. You will be part of a team working for Market Development within Special Steels and you will report to the manager of this department.
The main responsibility is to secure an attractive and cost efficient distribution offer. You will also support the distributors in order to grow their business as well as managing one subordinate who you will work closely with.
Your qualifications
To be successful we believe that you have a university degree in engineering/business administration or equivalent. You have several years of working experience preferably in sales or marketing in a business to business environment. Experience from both distribution sales and steel products are highly valued.
As a person you are proactive, able to act and work independently and at the same time a good team player. You are a fast learner with great problem solving skills.
Excellent communication skills is a key in this role. You are fluent in English.
You have a genuine interest and an ability to build long-term customer relationships. You are good at seeing and creating customer value based on their and our needs.
You are capable of traveling both regionally and internationally.
