SSAB Europe is looking for a Product Manager for Hot Rolled Strip products, to be in the center of the exciting and challenging sustainability transformation. In this position, you will manage the largest SSAB product portfolio.
About the position
As a Product Manager, you manage the current and future portfolio of products. You set all physical attributes of the product that we market and sell. You are also responsible for removing and changing current products. In addition, you set and steer the development of new products within the product group. This work relies on being up to date on many things, including company strategy.
As a product manager, you are the voice of sales into R&D and have several interfaces including marketing, process- and product development, which means that you will work closely with several functions.
The Hot Rolled Strip products, within SSAB Europe, are produced in Borlänge, Sweden and Raahe, Finland. Being in close contact with those sites is important regardless of placement.
Although many issues can be managed digitally, a readiness to travel within Nordics and occasionally to the rest of Europe is needed.
The main responsibility is to secure an attractive and profitable product offer. You will act as the decision maker in various risks and opportunities surrounding the product portfolio.
Your qualifications
To be successful we believe that you have a Master of Science or equivalent. You have several years of working experience, preferably including managerial positions, in sales, production, marketing or other relevant areas.
As an individual, you are proactive, able to act and work independently and at the same time a good team player. You are a fast learner with great problem solving skills. To be able to influence, without formal mandate, is important to be successful in this role, as there are often several interfaces to other functions involved.
Excellent communication skills is vital in this role. You are fluent in English. Any other languages is a bonus.
You have a genuine interest and an ability to build long-term customer relationships. You are good at seeing and creating customer value based on their and our needs, both present and future.
You are capable of traveling both regionally and internationally.
