About the position

With an investment of €4.5 billion approved by our Board of Directors, Luleå is set to become our next site for fossil-free steel production. The new Luleå mill will boast a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, featuring state-of-the-art facilities including electric arc furnaces, advanced secondary metallurgy, a direct strip rolling mill, and a cold rolling complex. This transformation will support the mobility segment with premium products, driving our mission towards a sustainable future.

Main responsibilities
Setup, track and administrate RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process in procurement tools.
Contribute in on-board of contractors and suppliers in accordance to SSAB’s onboarding processes and tools (supplier pre-qualification).
Coordinate, draft and place purchase orders in accordance with agreed contracts, schedules and payment milestones. Ensure purchase orders are confirmed and fully understood by receiving parties, solve any. discrepancies.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement Managers and Project Managers to ensure deadlines and project schedules are met, contributing to procurement procedure updates and best practices.
Assist, as needed, in contractor and supplier negotiations as agreed with Procurement Manager.
About You
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management).
7+ years of experience in construction purchasing activities.
Good understanding of processes for purchasing capital equipment, bulk construction materials, contract works packages such as installation is a benefit.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software.
Process-oriented with solid time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work under minimal supervision.
