SSAB - Senior Project Manager

The Group Technology PM-Office was created to support the journey towards “SSAB Fossil Free 2045”. The Senior Project manager position is reporting to the manager of the PM-Office. The Senior Project manager´s prioritized area will be leader of the iron melting workstream, Electric Arc Furnace trials, in the HYBRIT Pilot project. Placement Oxelösund or Luleå.
The Group Technology PM-Office was created to develop, as well as coordinating, the execution of the Roadmap “SSAB Fossil Free 2045”. One of the major focus areas is to be responsible for execution of the HYBRIT-initiative in the perspective of SSAB. In addition, the responsibility also covers coordinating and execution of activities supporting the journey towards SSAB Fossil Free 2045 and technology watch.
The Senior Project manager position is reporting to the manager of the PM-Office. The Project manager´s prioritized area is being a part of SSAB’s supporting activities towards the HYBRIT-initiative. This means being responsible for the management of the iron melting workstream, Electric Arc Furnace trials, in the HYBRIT Pilot project and acting as the link between HYBRIT and the SSAB conversion project in Oxelösund.
Your qualifications
MSC or higher educational background majoring in key fields e.g. mining- metallurgy or materials science or chemical engineering. PhD studies in the key fields is a merit.
Process development experience from Electric Arc Furnace production or R&D.
Project manager competence, either in areas of process development or R&D.
