SSAB - Senior Sourcing Manager

About the job
We are looking for a highly motivated person with commercial leadership skills that exceeds our expectation to join SSABs Electric Arc Furnace Program at the site of Oxelösund. You will lead and have the commercial responsibility mainly for machinery investment projects to establishing new production technology. This project is an important part for SSAB to be able to fully produce fossil free steel. The position will be located at our site in Oxelösund.

Your mission is to lead, develop and execute SSABs sourcing process including sourcing strategies and tactics, execute sourcing events, negotiate and finalize investment contracts as well as handling claims. You will also manage relations with internal stakeholders and suppliers as well as good cooperation with Operational Procurement. This role also includes being a member of the Management Team of the EAF-project and you are reporting to SSABs Procurement Manager Investments together with a team of Strategic Purchasers from the other sites.

This role demands that you can work independently and by that, you will have a chance to develop the role to its best.

Your qualifications
Being responsible for sourcing within our Electric Arc Furnace project, you are an important commercial leader and we search for someone that can secure that all business and sourcing events are handled professionally. In this package, your analytical skills as well as business skills will be a key competence in succeeding in this position. Strong communication and networking skills will be important qualities for the successful candidate.

You also need to have an independent, method driven and result oriented way of working which gives structure to your approach and is according to our SSAB lean philosophy.

We work in a company and environment where changes are a part of our daily work. The ability to embrace this whilst not only showing flexibility, but also seeing it as an opportunity to identify and realise new improvement areas, is key for this role.

We expect you to have a Master's or Bachelor’s degree in economics, technology, logistics or law.

You also have very good written and spoken English and have professional skills in Microsoft Office. Well-documented experience from working with strategic procurement related to investment projects (contracts like ABA99, SSG, ABT06, AB04 etc.), category management and professional business negotiations are highly valued. Knowledge of marketing, project management and lean way of working is also an advantage. The position requires extensive travelling.
