About the position
The position is placed in the organization Global Business Services.
Global Business Services (GBS) is a shared services organization in SSAB that delivers finance and master data - services for SSAB Divisions and Group Functions.
We are seeking a manager with a proven leadership capabilities and a great interest in finding the potential in people, as well as in ways of working and who has the courage to develop that potential. Key tasks of the role
As Service Manager for Accounting and Reporting in Sweden your main tasks are to lead and manage the team that will ensure correctness in accounting and monthly financial reporting. The work means to be proactive, professional and transparent about the figures and work closely with GBS customers both to support and challenge the business.
In this role you will secure service delivery within scope, manage and oversee daily operations as well as develop the function short and long term.
We constantly strive to be agile and adaptable to the changing environment and drive for excellence and efficient processes. This means you work for compliance, correct accounting rules and take ownership to analyze and understand the balance sheet. You will be responsible for preparation of monthly and annual accounts, risk reviews together with controllers and business owners, preparation and coordination for internal and external audits, monitoring and supporting with taxation issues, and other ad-hoc questions from business owners and finance team.
The main internal customer are Director of Finance and Accounting in Divisional Finance, as well as other business owners. To do this it is important to establish and manage good relationships with internal and external customers.
You will report to GBS Country Manager Sweden and be part of the GBS Sweden management team.
Your qualifications
Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education
Good knowledge of accounting rules, tax rules, IFRS, company law etc
Experience of managerial roles, financial processes, projects and customer services
Strong skills within leadership and communication
Independent, result-oriented and good self-awareness
Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English
Good to very good user knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
SAP knowledge is considered an advantage
Business understanding skills

We expect you to travel to some extent, mostly within Sweden.
