About us
SSAB Special Steels has global responsibility for marketing and sales of SSAB's quenched and tempered steels (Q&T) and hot-rolled, advanced high-strength steels (AHSS). Sales in 2019 amounted to SEK 18,495 million with steel shipments of 1.2 million tonnes.
SSAB's unique global sales network enables us to reach small and medium sized customers in all corners of the world. This network includes own stock locations, local sales force as well as technical support. SSAB Special Steels operates in more than 120 countries.
About the position
Special Steel’s Tax Controller deals with all aspects of the division’s global intercompany ar-rangements. This includes developing, executing and maintaining the company’s inter-company transfer pricing policies and models; collecting and gathering data & information; analyzing & set-ting arm’s-length prices; preparing transfer pricing documentation reports; assisting with audits; analyzing business and planning strategies; M&A integration; coordinating local resources; and managing external advisers.
Additionally this role will manage processes and working methods that contribute to compliance with rules and regulations for import / export. The role will have a strong focus on coordinating and implementing these processes and working to minimize exposure to fines and ensure com-pliance with applicable rules and laws. The work is done in collaboration with many different in-ternal functions such as Supply Chain and Sales and several external stakeholders. You will work with people in our subsidiaries around the world and in some cases with local authorities in these countries. As the service is a new position within Special Steels, you will have the opportunity to design and influence the content of the work. You will also be involved in setting standards and processes for following up on compliance with laws and regulations.
It is an international team so placement is optional, preferably Europe.
You will report to Director of Finance & Adm International Sales Subsidiaries in Special Steels. Occasional travelling will be required.
Who are you?
You are an independent person and take great responsibility for achieving results. You have a good analytical ability at the same time as you are a clear and efficient communicator and have an easy time building relationships and networks. To succeed in the role, you are solution-oriented and have an eye for detail.
You need to be comfortable directly liaising with various business teams within the company and with other members of the group tax department
You have an academic education in the field of Finance, Tax law or equivalent and have solid experience in similar tasks in a multinational company and organisation. You have transfer pric-ing experience/knowledge.
You are fluent in English in speech and writing.
