We are looking for a Technical Business Development Manager in Europe. In this position, you will be part of an innovative and dynamic team working with product and business development.
You will play an important role and be our technical expert in developing the aftermarket business. In this role, you become our segment expert focusing on finding new products, solutions and sharing best practice experience with the organization. You will work closely with our Wear Service Centers throughout Europe.
The position is based in Europe and requires some traveling.
About the position
As Technical Business Development Manager, you will:
Develop into our technical expert on the aftermarket, acquiring in-depth knowledge about the more complex machines and equipment.
Work closely with SSABs Wear Service Centers to coach and support their growth in the aftermarket. Providing technical support to both centers and their customers.
Initiate and coordinate strategic development projects in close collaboration with the market, but also with the production. Going from idea with 3D modeling, producing prototypes and testing to later rolling out the finished product to our sales organization.
Educate centers on business opportunities, technical issues, solutions, and the value selling approach (how to help our customers to succeed).

About You
You ideally have a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
You have extensive experience in 3D CAD modeling (Inventor, Solidworks, Solid Edge or equivalent).
Some years of experience in the area of product and equipment design or maintenance, and general knowledge of workshop processes, e.g. welding, cutting and forming.
Fluent in English with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in the recycling/quarry/mining sectors or in maintenance, is an advantage.
As a person, you are positive and solution oriented, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently to deliver results.
