About the position
The Technical Development Manager is responsible for developing growth plans to achieve the leading position for our Special Steels division on customer and product level. Some of the main responsibilities in this role will be contributing to the sales organization, supporting technical customer development, upgrading to strategic products and developing sales through technical support.
Your main responsibilities within this role will be to:
Support customers upgrading to Special steels and to strategic products
Support technical customer development in terms of design, production and quality
Develop sales through technical support and develop the Regional Sales Manager through technical trainings and support in daily work
Develop and implement the Area Sales strategy together with the Area Sales Manager
Work according to and support SSAB´s short and long term strategic goals
Secure yearly sales and marketing targets within the assigned area
Do the job safely at all times, share relevant risk observations with the organisation and help colleagues to act safely

Your qualifications
We are searching for a candidate that has a University or Technical School degree in fields related to Mechanical Engineering or material Science, with some years of experience within sales, preferably in an international business environment. We look for customer-focused candidates ready to take on challenges with a positive, goal-oriented attitude.
