About the position
Mega Construction Project: Building SSAB’s future plant for fossil-free steel.
Main responsibilities
Procurement Strategy Leadership: Define and oversee the deployment of procurement tactics, with a focus on market analysis, supply chain capacity, risk assessment, procurement packaging, contract models and the pursuit of cost optimization.
Supplier Engagement and Oversight: Initiate pre-qualification for suppliers and contractors, navigate RFx procedures, assess proposals, and sustain partnerships with suppliers.
Manage the contracting process, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies in . collaboration with legal and contract management teams.
Lead negotiations and negotiation teams.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and Project Buyers to ensure deadlines and project schedules are met, contributing to procurement procedure updates and best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, developing and delivering content to guide decision-making processes.



About You
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management).
7+ years of experience in construction procurement activities, particularly on large, multi-year projects.
Proven capability in guiding teams, mediating agreements, and interactively engaging, with a background in handling supplier partnerships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
Self-motivated, process-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
