We are now looking for a System / Technology (S&T) program manager!
At Business Area Digital Services (BDGS) we are working at the core of the 5G evolution, delivering cost efficient software solutions that make core networks high-performing, automated and highly programmable - key to enabling capabilities like network slicing and edge computing, allowing for relentless efficiency and new revenue streams. Digital Services provides solutions and platforms in OSS, BSS, Packet Core, Communication Services and Cloud Infrastructure – leveraging cloud native and automation technology. These solutions are aligned E2E through BDGS portfolio programs as for instance NFV, Snowdrop, NWaaP and Automation.
The BDGS Architecture & Technology organization drives architecture and technology transformation across BA Digital Services (BDGS), securing Technology Leadership and defines Standardization and Open Source strategy. We are working internally across BDGS, within Ericsson together with GF Technology and other BA´s as well as directly with key customers to define our architecture and technology strategy and evolution.
In the Architecture & technology unit are we currently looking for a Program Manager who will drive the BDGS System & Technology part of cross SA solution programs, ensuring E2E solutions cross BDGS and also necessary integration with external entities as for instance devices, CSP IT systems and in some cases also with selected Enterprise ecosystem providers.
S&T program manager responsibilities:
Program management of a cross-BDGS team of S&T specialists
Member of the portfolio program’s leadership team
Drive the solution architecture work with and across the BDGS solution areas
Together with portfolio, analyze, break down and establish KPI’s on functional and non-functional requirements
Establish backlogs, prioritize and drive S&T studies
Manage relation with technology partners, including potential lab requirements
Develop cost analysis for business case calculations
Well-structured reporting and asking for decisions to executive management
Provide proposals and input to activities on BDGS Technology Leadership program
Represent BDGS in steering and coordination of related Ericsson research activities
Knowledge sharing and learning
Key Qualifications:
MS Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science)
At least specialist level technology competence in any of BDGS technology areas.
Profound experience in technology program/project management
Well-established authority in architecture & technology
Industry insights and overview of device, IT and OT ecosystem integration with CSP’s
Customer insights from Telco operators
Proficient English
Business Understanding
Excellent Coaching & Mentoring Skills
Communication Skills
Leading ability in formulating strategies and concepts
