We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in Hardware design that wants to be involved in the entire process, from requirements definition to the finished product. Someone who likes to work on projects with other disciplines and that can both move projects forward by themselves or as a part of a team.
Role Description:
We can offer you a place in a dynamic team of experienced electronics design engineers, where we work with optical communications at speeds up to 400Gbps. The PCBs have multiple links of signals running NRZ 28Gbps and PAM4 56Gbps. You will be faced with challenges that will require creative and innovative solutions. You will be able to see the results of your work in the sense of how it correlates and affects our sales and customers.
Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:
Take part in pre-studies with leading edge technologies
High Speed Electronics Design
Low power design
Close cooperation’s with vendors
Measuring and verifying the fulfilment of design requirements
Close cooperation with all parts of RnD and Operations
Global collaborations with other RnD sites within Infinera, example Bangalore, Sunny Vale etc.

Education & Experience Necessary for Success:
8+ years of experience of electronics design and verification
Education M.Sc or B.Sc within Electronics or equivalent education work experience
Flexible, innovative and driven
Structured and thorough
Strong problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of English in speech and writing
Previous experience of Cadence, OrCad, Quartus II or Vivado is an advantage
Knowledge of network protocols, Ethernet, OTN, Fiber Channel or CPRI is an advantage
Experience in high-speed design and signal integrity is an advantage
Experience with CPU is an advantage
Competence on bus protocols like I2C, MDIO, SPI, PCIe is an advantage
You have a drive to get things done and seek the information needed to go forward
You are open to share information and knowledge you gain with your colleagues
