Staff Engineer Frontend
As Staff Engineer you are overall responsible for the technological direction within Hemnet and supporting our development teams. Reporting to our Director of Technology you will work alongside other Staff Engineers. You have a strong focus on growth and continuous learning, and take part in the development work hands-on, while being responsible for overall technological strategy in your domain.

What will you do

- Establish and implement the long-term technology strategy for your domain area in collaboration with team members, peers, and our Director of Technology

- Be a leader of the engineering community, driving and influencing our architecture across the company.

- Coordinate technical projects across teams within Hemnet.

- Collaborate with other technical leaders toward scalable designs that serve Hemnet's product strategy.

- Support and guide the development in teams in your domain

- Be a technical leader and valued contributor in a multi-functional agile team

Who are we looking for
In order to be successful in this role, we believe that you will have several years of experience working as a developer, architect, tech lead, or similar, with a hands-on approach. You have broad competence from years of building and maintaining applications over their lifecycle. You have achieved results by improving solutions and possess the ability to make strategy come alive by engaging and inspiring others. That you are well versed in lean and agile thinking is a given, and you have previous experience in leading people.

- You are motivated by solving complex problems and delivering business value in short iterations in an experimental and data-driven environment

- You have proven experience working with multiple teams across web competence. (facilitating meetings, driving technological changes, and aligning with tech strategy)

- You have experience in building modern web applications, including React and TypeScript.

- You are comfortable following software engineering best practices such as code review, source control, continuous integration, performance optimization, and testing, and ensuring that others practice them.

- You are an effective communicator, both in written and verbal communication. You are comfortable working with a broad, and very senior group of stakeholders.
