We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join the McKinsey office in Stockholm as a Consulting Staffing Coordinator/Specialist, part of the Staffing team in Stockholm (4 people). This position is a strategic role, being responsible for managing the full range of professional development activities with a strong focus on staffing activities for the consulting staff in Sweden.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and staff McKinsey consultants.
Monitor each consultant's development, career progression, and other topics as they arise
Work closely with the Professional Development team, Partners, and consultants to ensure that consultants receive timely and required development opportunities
Help Project Owners (PO) to navigate the staffing system. Acquire and continuously refresh a sound understanding of the industry’s/sector’s key clients, hot topics, and Firm expertise/staffing pools that are relevant to bring the best of the Firm to a given study. Support PO's in considering, identifying, and accessing the right staffing pools.
Build trust and credibility. Build a strong, trust-based relationship with the PO's.
Develop a professional relationship with consultants including an in-depth understanding of professional aspirations, experience, strengths, development needs, and relevant personal skills.
Contribute to broader people and office initiatives. Work and assume responsibility on a variety of ad hoc as well as special projects surfaced by the Professional Development leaders and other key stakeholders.
PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Previous experience: Ideal candidate is an experienced staffer but it is not an absolute requirement. Should have 2+ years of experience in consulting or in a people function, ideally in PD/Staffing, and good impact track records.
McKinsey colleague (current or alumni) strongly preferred.
