About us
In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient production systems with people in focus. 
Manufacturing Engineering Stamping is a global function with responsibility to launch new car programs and processes in Volvo Cars' plants as a part of Volvo Cars Manufacturing Engineering.
Our mission is to develop and implement sheet metal stamping processes for new car models within Volvo Cars. The operative location for this role will be in Olofström with occasionally traveling to Gothenburg and Die Suppliers around the world.

What you’ll do
As a Stamping Die Process Engineer you will be deeply involved in the design and development of the car and its body-components from an early stage building the design of the car until start of production in our car plants. The work is conducted in cross functional teams consisting of product design, production engineering and simulation as well as internal and external die manufacturer. 
In early project phases you will lead and drive the feasibility work regarding the components in cooperation with product design in Gothenburg. Alongside with this you will develop the production process for the component and during the production process development, be the interface against the die suppliers around the world.
Do you fit the profile and have some of the following attributes? 
•    Experience in Sheet metal forming and/or Press hardening Blank/Press/Laser cut
•    B.Sc within mechanical engineering, M.Sc 
•    Good knowledge in Catia V5
•    Experience within Stamping die design
•    Production engineering and Stamping die manufacturing
•    Experiences from stamping die engineering and/or project management 
•    Knowledge from similar engineering processes in process & project management
•    Fluent in English, written and spoken, Swedish will be meritorious
