Starbucks purchases and roasts high-quality whole bean coffees and sells them along with fresh, rich-brewed, Italian style espresso beverages, a variety of pastries and confections, and coffee-related accessories and equipment. In this position you will contribute to SSP:s success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. You create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. The Barista takes orders and serves food and beverage items to our customers in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, a pro-active and "can do" attitude, providing exceptional service to our guests. The Starbucks Stores opening and closing hours will vary between 03.00-23.00 seven days a week so you must be available to work between these hours. Summary of key Responsibilities: *Builds relationships and delivers legendary customer service by acting with a "customer comes first" attitude, engaging the customer in conversation, and connecting with them. Discovers and responds to customers' needs and provides product sampling to deliver the Starbucks Experience to customers. *Greets customers and takes food order; provides information about products and looks for opportunity to "up-sell" products. *Prepares all drink orders to Starbucks and SSP standards. *Educates and informs customers about the differences among coffee beans, coffee preparation and home brewing methods. *Cleans and stocks customer area. *Follows SSP and Starbucks operational policies and procedures. *Maintains a calm demeanour during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team. Job Requirements Summary of Experience *Customer service experience in a coffee shop, cafe or restaurant environment (minimum one year). *Cash handling and customer service experience preferred (minimum 1 year). *Fluent in Swedish with very good English skills. *Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner. *Requires the ability to learn and maintain knowledge of Starbuck's products and procedures. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities *Ability to act with a customer comes first attitude and deliver excellent customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations. *Effective oral communication skills. *Knowledge of the coffee shop environment. *Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
