Start-up Engineer

In the role as a start-up engineer you will be working with commissioning and startup of our delivered process equipment at our global costumers. Your responsibilities will be managing the FAT-tests, and both implement and document equipment checkout according to our Valmet routines. It includes: Control of the instrumentation, electrical systems and making sure that the machine equipment is correct and ready to use. It may also include troubleshooting and finding a solution in collaboration with your team of experts. You will also be responsible of making sure that our guarantee checks of our process equipment is being done the right way, furthermore, that the final product delivers to the costumer in a professional way. As the lead of the commission, you will be a part of several units and need to have a cross-functional cooperation. The role as a leading start-up engineer also includes to manage the employees at Valmet, to be a consultant as well as to guide and educate our customers for different start-up activities.


Additionally, this job includes the opportunity to travel a lot with approximately 100–150 days per year. The time between traveling is devoted to preparation of projects and writing of reports, which means that we are flexible and open for your choice to live close to a Valmet office or do the work at your home-office.

Earlier experience in the Pulp & Paper industry is meritorious.
