We are recruiting Statisticians to join our growing Early stage Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism Biometrics group, at different levels depending on your previous experience. We welcome your application whether you are at the beginning of your career or have extensive experience from the pharmaceutical industry or other sectors.
As part of Data Science and AI, you will use technology at the forefront of science in a creative environment, with the scope to develop new statistical ideas and approaches and apply them in your work. Our team works globally and the positions can be based at one of our R&D sites either in Gothenburg - Sweden, Cambridge - UK or Gaithersburg - US.
Main duties and responsibilities
You will be expected to:
* Take a leadership role and drive statistical thinking in cross-functional team projects
* Contribute to strategic planning and quantitative decision making
* Participate in adapting and developing statistical methodology
* Contribute to development of new procedures and standards to increase quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
Depending on your experience, the role may also include:
* Interactions to influence key stakeholders and governance
* Acting as a technical expert in interactions with external providers and collaborators
* Coaching junior staff and supporting them with education and training in statistics
* Working with regulatory agencies, e.g. attending meetings, answering questions

Requirements
The minimum required education is a M.Sc. degree in a relevant discipline such as statistics, biostatistics, or mathematical statistics. Excellent written and spoken English is also required.
As we work in global cross-functional teams, your statistical skills should be combined with excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with geographically dispersed colleagues. You should be able to work independently and take initiative with a positive, goal-oriented and problem-solving attitude.
We also look for candidates with interest in, and ability to, communicate statistics to experts in other disciplines.
