Job description
As a Field Application Engineer you have an important role at customer site and will be working close to R&D departments. You´ll be supporting both development and technology.
Since Europe and Scandinavia is your field, you will be traveling on a weekly basis.
STMicroelectronics offers an opportunity to work with high power products with clients all over the world in a working culture with much support from colleagues and managers.
Your team in Sweden is located in Stockholm, Malmö and Norrköping. And an extended team of FAE´s around Europe.
Your primary responsibilities include:
* Provide customers with technical recommendations and timely answers to their technical questions on new or existing applications (technical support) and continuous project tracking
* Work with several projects with different timelines from start-up to maintenance on an ongoing basis
* Interact with product specialists and FAE´s across Europe in the organization to contribute to the values of the company
*Traveling to Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia on a weekly basis and to Italy, Germany, France on quarterly basis
* A good communication with customers at site
Your profile
You thrive in an environment that offers variety and space to grow and where you can use your skills in multitasking with quality and control. As well as you have technical skills, you also have the ability to see the customers perspective and get to use your social skills.
To meet the expectations and be comfortable in the role you need to:
* Have a university degree in electrical engineering or or equivalent experience.
* Possess knowledge about high power products/components, as of power transistors, power module, high voltage power conversion, motor control etc.
* Have high technical skills in electrical construction from working hands-on
* Be willing and able to travel on a weekly basis throughout Europe to clients
* Have a high level of communication and social skills
* Be self-driven and flexible
* Be able to use english on a communicative and professional level
It’s beneficial but not required to have:
* Knowledge in HW-design and programming
* Language skills in addition to English
* Driving license
The position requires citizenship of Sweden or EU.
