Specialist for the Casting Technical Department

Jydsk Aluminum Industri (JAI) is in an exciting development with many new sales projects for large international companies, which increasingly makes high demands on our organization. Our strategy for sale and delivery of complex parts means high demands concerning our know-how and competences, which are completely unique.
The department is responsible for the entire development, design and production maturing of new parts using the most advanced technologies, including casting simulation in Magma Soft.
You will be part of a team where you - on equal terms with the department\'s other employees - will participate in the development of parts, casting technical problem solving in the production processes, and participation in the technical development in cooperation with our customers. Furthermore, the department is responsible for JAI\'s core competencies, such as metallurgy, casting, core manufacturing and heat treatment.
Job specification:
As the position is newly established, the specific work tasks will depend on your competencies and area of interest. The following is a summary of the entire department\'s tasks: Analyses and data processing. Metallurgical know-how center. Casting simulation, development and casting of new parts in co-operation with customers and project managers. Development and stabilization of production processes, testing and running-in of technology in the casting department. Improvement of the stability of ongoing production, including raw material specification, optimization of process parameters, production facilities and equipment. Ensuring a constant development in JAI\'s casting technical know-how. Support and back-up to the project managers in connection with running-in of new parts. Participate as troubleshooter for the entire company. To be successful in the job, you need to be able to see yourself in the job for a number of years. You must have the ability to be persistent on difficult and long-term tasks. You have to be curious and eager to learn about JAI\'s processes and procedures. You will get the position as a key person and a go-to-person when your critical know-how is needed.
Qualifications:
You have min. 2-4 years' experience from another metal foundry or similar company. You are an educated and qualified engineer, machine specialist or equivalent and you have process knowledge. It is an advantage if you have a basic professional education, CAD experience or metallurgical know-how, but it is not a requirement.
Your English skills must be at negotiation level and you are able to read and understand German, as part of our academic and technical material is in German.

It is an advantage if you are a good communicator. You must be able to work systematically, but the job also requires that you can act as a go-to-person in different contexts. Also, it is important that you are cooperative and that your knowledge is passed on to the organization. You are motivated by know-how, learning and working with the latest technology.
